Good things and bad things

Good thing: Mists of Pandaria releases on September 25th, which is just about the perfect timing in regard to the wedding.

Bad thing: if I don’t want to miss it – and I most emphatically don’t – I will have to postpone my tooth replacing, which is a really unpractical thing anyway that will require me to go back to Italy for at least 3 weeks and even to go back and forth from Rome to Milan multiple times. SO annoying.

Good thing: I’m just back from trying on my wedding dress, and it’s oh so lovely. Why aren’t women wearing dresses in that style anymore?

I know, not very practical. But still, so beautiful! ♥

Bad thing: as I suspected, I gained 1.5 kilos since I hurt my ankle. Even though I ate much less than before (I count calories so I know that with certainity). That is really bad, as the dress was tight around the chest and I’m getting married in one month  and a half… Luckily, I have green lights for starting aerobics again on Sunday so hopefully I should be able to shed the extra weight in time. Stupid ankle. >_<

Good thing: I have a dear, dear friend that I feel most lucky to have met. He is a wonderful, gentle, intelligent person the kind of which I can’t really say it’s common in this world (he’s even handsome, even has a sexy voice!).

Bad thing: said friend doesn’t think nearly highly enough of himself, and even worst we live in different countries so I can’t go to him every day to knock some sense into him by brute force (such a delicate girl I am, I know).

Why is it that the best people in the world never ever seem to realize just how special and precious they are? While the jerks always seem to have such a high opinion of themselves, too… It drives me crazy, goddammit!!

Random thing: those pirates in Tanaris look so fit. I wonder what kind of gym are they subscribed to.

looking oh so fit

Nice pants, btw.

BT: Why do you still play WoW?

I left a comment on WoW Insider’s latest Breakfast Topic, and just couldn’t resist posting it here as well, since it is so very True™.

WoW is like a second life to me, because all of my characters have personalities, stories and lives of their own in my head.

WoW was the first media *ever* – and I would like to note that I’m 30 and I read/watched/played literally thousands of stuff in my life so far – to awake my creativity. I have always been utterly in love with Stories. I have also always have been deeply envious of people that are able to create them, or even characters “without stories”.

So why do I still play WoW?

I could say it’s because I love Wacraft’s franchise story the best.

I could say it’s because I still have pleanty of things to do (and yet I have been playing since Classic).

I could say it’s because the more I play, the more aspects of the game I come to love and enjoy.

But really, in the end, I play WoW because it’s the best, tastiest, most sumptuous nourishment for the creativity I didn’t think I had.

Salog

That’s right, “goals” backwards… because if I measure my day in WoW by things still to be done, I’m gonna flip out crazy, ‘mon.

It’ll be boring, but then again nobody’s gonna read this anyway and it’s my blog, so who gives a damn.

Saturday, July 21st

Dear diary,

today after doing all of my daily AH scans, quests and shuffles,

Pallade reached 300 skill in both Mining and Jewelcrafting. She’d be ready for outland stuff now, wasn’t it for the fact that the AH only sold 16 Black Diamonds out of the 18 she needs. Just one short, gah! And no, my Math is correct – she already had one, kindly donated by the Family.

Juljin got to a mighty level 7 already! Judging by her attitude, I bet she feels at least 20 levels higher than that.

Crocolisk in the city was not up, so Anzu got to rest a bit as well.

In other news, I’m tired and hungry, but after being a prick earlier, my fiancé redeemed himself by donating stuff and gold to the family. I forgive him… Maybe we should squabble more often. :p

Will you marry me, Blizzard?

Have a look at THIS.

Starting next week I will be able to transform into THAT (well, Darah will, but still)!!!

You can keep your one-million-gold (yes, literally) Jeweled Onyx Panther, jewelcrafting goblins!

Riding a flying panther? How about

BEING a flying panther!!!!!!

A dazzling, astonishing, bamboozling flying panther. Being one.

OMG this is AMAZIIIIIIIIING!… *drools all over the place, then faints*

\\^O^\\ \\^O^// //^O^// <— I’m not merely dancing… I’m bouncing off the freaking walls.

P.S.: I will forgive Blizzard for not making a playable cat-people race now. A space goat that turns into a winged, flying, shiny panther?!? YOU CAN’T BEAT THAT, BIOWARE.

P.P.S.: There’s no celebration big enough for this event. This is even better than having a Swift Spectral Tiger mount (but not better than having a Spectral Tiger Cub! ^__~).

P.P.P.S: Just in case you’re now confused because you were not stalking Twitter like me, here’s one of my sources. A Blizz Blue confirmed this, so it’s official.

My personal Mists of Pandaria bucket list

One thing is for certain: MoP is NOT gonna find me unprepared, despite what Illidan might say or think.

The worst part is that I could still go on and on… Who said there was nothing left to be doing in WoW anymore?!? @__@;

Trolls, songs

“How about songs, Jul? You like ‘em?”

She loved songs.

No, that wasn’t quite right. She loved rhythm.

The angry rhythm of the drums playing notes of battle.

The sly rhythm of the arrows flying off her bow to hit the enemies’ vital spots.

The soft rhythm of Sambas’ paws on uneven soil.

The quiet rhythm of rain falling of autumn leaves.

The frantic rhythm of her own heart, when she was making love.

And then, maybe, there was a rhythm she loved above all the others.

Juljin fixed her eyes southwards, toward the isles where she had spent her childhood playing, hunting and listening to her father’s chanted tales of braveness and glory, his voice monotonous, soothing, almost rhythmic.

“Yeah, mon. I do like ma’ songs.”
